W8LM / W8VDQ Line Array Amp Rack

Line array amp rack, Designed for our Martin Audio W8LM and W8VDQ systems although can be used with other systems that require similar amplification.

Each Line array rack consists of

1 x Mains Distribution Panel

1 x Signal Connection/Patch Panel

1 x Crown XTI4002 Amplifier

2 x Crown XTI6002 Amplifier

2 x XLR Link cables

The racks are wired so that the top two amplifiers (XTI4002 and XTI6002) are used to provide a Bi-amp feed to the first set of speakon outputs, These are used to power W8LM or VDQ speakers.

The Second XTI6002 is connected to both NL4 and NL8 speakon outputs to be used for subs, The mix of connectors allows use of all our sub bass speakers without the need for adapters.

The rack takes Channel 1 and 2 feeds in separately for the bi-amped feed and the sub feed. Link connections are provided so you can add the subs to be on the same mix or link channels 1 and 2.

One rack can be used to power a small stereo system or on larger systems a rack can be used as a mono source to power each group of up to 8 x Martin Audio W8LM speakers (4 per channel).

The amplifiers have built in DSP processing and we have pre-loaded presets to work with all arrangements with our hire stock.

A USB hub is built into the rack to allow all the amplifiers to be linked to a PC for editing of the settings and monitoring.

The racks built in power distro has a 32amp single phase power in and thru, an auxiliary 16amp socket and a feed to power the amplifiers. Although two racks can run looped, it you are planning to run the maximum possible load it is advised to have 2 separate 32amp single phase feeds, as two racks linked together would exceed a single feed.
