Innovation Productions are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Manager. This role would suit a candidate with excellent organisational skill and a good knowledge equipment used in the event and theatre industry. With previous experience or either warehouse work or event work.

The role would include,

  • Managing of the warehouse space and employees within it.

  • Management of shifts to ensure operational requirements are met.

  • Compliance with Operational and Safety Procedures.

  • Communicating with customers regarding their hires.

  • Quoting hires

  • Stock Management

  • Preparation of equipment for hire

  • Testing in equipment from hire

  • Unloading / Loading

  • Maintaining equipment and the warehouse equipment.

  • Team Management

  • Maintaining a tidy work space.

  • Visit customers to rectify hire issues.

Necessary Skills,

  • Reasonable IT skills

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Well Organised

  • Excellent Technical Knowledge

  • Smart and professional manner

  • Fort Lift Truck License

  • Driving License

Salary:

  • The full time rate for this position is £28200 to £30000 depending on experience.

  • Employment is based on 40 hours per week. With 28 days holiday per annum (inclusive of bank holidays). Overtime available, paid pro-rata.

Location

  • Based at our Barnsley Headquarters, although delivery & site work would be nationally and involve overnight stays.

Hours of Work

  • The hours of work for this role will mainly be within our core warehouse hours, Monday – Friday 9 to 6pm, Saturday 9 to 2pm. Although emergency cover may be required outside of these hours.

Reports to

  • Senior Project Manager

Base Skills:

  • Experience in all aspects of events

  • Counterbalance Forklift Ticket

  • Reach Forklift Ticket

  • Working Knowledge across lighting, sound, staging and video

  • Confident driving of 3.5T vans.

  • Clean Drivers License and over 21. (This is for vehicle insurance)

  • Good DIY stills

  • Excellent time keeping skills.

  • Good phone manner, with strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Good computer and writing skills.

  • To have a good willingness to learn, and aptitude to become highly competent in the use of equipment at Innovation Productions Ltd

  • Ability to work under pressure and to resolve situations calmly and diplomatically.

  • Neat appearance.

  • A cheerful, positive ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Attention to detail and pride in work.

Advantagous Skills:

  • Network cable termination

  • DMX and XLR wiring and termination.

  • Soldering

  • Electrical wiring

  • LEEA Qualifications

  • IPAF 3A and 3B

  • All Terrain Telehandler Ticket

  • C1 Driving License and CPC

  • C Driving License and CPC

  • Electrical Inspection and Testing Qualifications

Education:

  • Good standard of education, NVQ Level 3

  • Industry related education preferred but not essential.

  • Electrical / electronic qualifications preferred but not essential

Training

  • Training will be offered to suitable candidates for certain skill sets to be upgraded within the advantagous skills category. Additionally, training will be provided in the specifics of our equipment and software. Additionally, training may be made available for other industry related skills.

Career Progression:

  • Within Innovation Productions you would be able to progress to a senior project manager from this role. Other roles both in and outside of the entertainment industry would be possible from the skills learnt in this role.
